Come worship God with us on September 12, 2010  when the East Preston United Baptist Church celebrates its 168th anniversary. Our theme is "Pressing on”:  Celebrating Our Journey with Christ, our theme text is Philippians Chapter 3 verses 12-21 Key Verse 14.The speaker for the 11 am service will be Pastor Matthew Lucas and for the 3 pm Service, Pastor LeQuita Porter. We will have the East Preston Anniversary Choir with soloist Sister Nia Porter. An anniversary supper will be served following the 3 pm Service. We hope to see you there.

 
The East Preston United Baptist Church invites you to come and enjoy A Taste of East Preston.  On the menu are succulent East Preston "Out home” dishes; oxtail, pigtail, rice, peas, curry, fried/baked chicken, homemade baked goods and much more.  There will be gospel music and games for the adults and youth. We look forward to seeing you on September 11, 2010 from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm at the East Preston Recreation Centre, 24 Brooks Drive, East Preston.

Counselling Appointments – Pastor Porter is available onTuesday evening or Thursdays by appointment -- Call church office to schedule an appointment.

SAVE THE DATE:  Pastor Porter's Induction/Installation as Pastor of the East Preston United Baptist Church of Nova Scotia - Sunday, October 3, 2010 at 3:00 p.m.  This will be a time of celebration of God's Move at East Preston United Baptist Church!  The guest preacher for the service will be Pastor Porter’s Pastor, Rev. Dr. J. Michael Sanders of the Fountain Baptist Church of Summit, New Jersey. Mark your calendar and invite your family and friends! It is going to be a blessed time in the Lord!

 

Prayer Meeting - Wenesdays at 6:15 pm.  Please come to fellowship and thank God for the blessings He continues to bestow on our Church and Community.  All are welcome

 
WEEKLY BIBLE STUDY will resume on Wednesday, September 8 – immediately following Prayer Meeting – which begins at 6:15 p.m.  Please plan to make Prayer Meeting and Bible Study a regular part of your weekly routine—Study to show thyself approved, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, but rightly dividing the Word of Truth – 2 Timothy 2:15
