BROOKS, Lawrence Albert

69, of East Preston, passed away suddenly on September 19, 2011, in Dartmouth General Hospital.  Born in East Preston, he was a son of the late Albert Riley and Blanche Brooks.  He is survived by his children, daughters, Deborah and Brenda, both of Montreal; sons, Carl and Kristian, both of Vancouver; six grandchildren and great-grand daughter, Chloe, who was the love of his heart; sisters, Carrie of East Preston and Mona (Marshall) of Dartmouth; bothers Eric (Hilda) Brooks of East Preston and David Grosse of Dartmouth; several nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles.  He was predeceased by his sisters, Cindy and Millisin; bother, Ervine Clayton, maternal grandparents, John and Clara Brooks and paternal grandparents, Arthur and Cass Riley.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street, Dartmouth, where visitation was held on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m., in the funeral home chapel. Funeral service today at 1p.m. in East Preston United Baptist Church with Pastor Stewart Williams officiating, assisted by Pastor LeQuita Porter and Pastor Wallace Smith.
